Discussion Great Buildings Prestige: Update Postponed to 2026

And since Inno is not a maintenance service. This is an update of the bet within their capabilities and algorithms. Therefore, it is pointless to wait for the GB update.
 
Would it be the first time that a project got shot down, then they tried again but ended up not going through with it? :p
Kinda of once time only, the AD update was shot down, but it came back with the changes again but was not rolled out global server, so it was shot down by InnoGames themselves a second time maybe...?

Well hopefully we're not left with a horrible GB situation that never gets reverted like the AD. It's literally mind boggling why they left the AD and never reverted it back. The GB update doesn't seem horrible, but it seems more like a mid update that requires a ton of extra burden on the player.
 
If you want to see the future of FoE, just look at Inno's The West. It's been neglected and dying off slowly for years. They have very few international servers left open; e.g., they just combined the Greek servers into the US one. It's purely event driven, and the folks left on the forum are largely resigned to its slow extinction. That seems the fate of FoE.

FoE has largely become a game of solitaire. My guild has minimal demands, and outside of daily p/m and helping folks level GBs, I only do QI and GBG when I’m bored.

I don't think this will be reverted, now that it's implemented on beta. How would they reverse the GB downgrades, the BP conversions, and the resources both spent and lost? ... holding the data for all the old values would have made the project far more complicated, and Inno clearly can't be trusted with a complicated project..they didn't have the foresight to see how this GB update is ... literally the worst thing they could have done in every possible way ... so of course they don't have the foresight to see that they should have backed up the values for all their level downgrades and the resource values for all the goods being spent effective when this came out.
 
I see two issues for the Prestige Tiers that must be addressed:

1) The boosts provided by the Prestige Tiers must be worth the cost. The cost of leveling as provided in Beta is prohibitive. Requiring millions of FP to level a gold tier GB is crazy. We are talking up to a year to earn one level. PROPOSED SOLUTION: Inno should set the costs so that a plyer who is on the game daily can expect to get at least one building from level 100 to level 300 within 1 year to 18 months. This means they should be able to fund 1 level every 2-3 days, on average. Going from 300 to 400 should be able to be achieved within a year to 18 months also. This means 1 level every 4-6 days.

2) The advantage provided to top players by the transition should be maintained but should not be unsurmountable for other players. As currently set, new players will never be able to reach the GB levels elite players will have at the beginning of the transition. They could play their entire life but never achieve that goal. PROPOSED SOLUTION: Look at the benefits for each GB under the existing structure at level 200. Set at least that level of benefits for level 100 on the Prestige Tiers. Scale the benefits for level 1-100 accordingly. Then set the level of each player so that they have the same benefits starting the Prestige Tiers that they currently have with the existing system. (Example: a player with a 180 Arc would still have a 2.0 boost when aiding). For the transition, players with GB levels 1-200 under the current system would have GB level 1-100 under Prestige Tiers. Players with GB over 200 would have all of the FP applied for the levels over 200 applied to the GB using the FP structure for the Prestige system. (Example: a player has a level 250 Arc. Inno looks at the total FP applied to go from 200 to 250 and applies that to the GB. Let's say those FP can pay for 15 levels under the Prestige system. The player ends up with a level 115 Arc.) Based on the increased benefits for GB under the Prestige system, all players will end up with a GB at least as strong as their existing GB, but the elite players are not granted a lifetime benefit that no other player can ever hope to achieve.

I agree it is going the stress alot of people if they where to reverse it. Otherwise Beta(Test) Server is for Testing porpuse.
But i also doubt they are going to. What we can all agree on is this form of "upgrade" is not what anyone is willing to accept.
Lets just hope we can test it for longer and improve the System, so its just a blueprint but not final what we currently got.
 
Probably should change the Title to Game Death postponed.
Very sad about the outcome and not working together with the "Beta Testers" a bit better, did i say better, i meant a bit.

It probably won't be "classically" reversed, because so much time has elapsed and 6 weeks of other things has transpired in beta - including new event buildings from Vikings, and purchases.

They could reshape the GB prestige "opening volley" into math changes for levels, etc, ie, smooth the curves on how quickly the "pain" is delivered by way of FP and goods costs in each prestige tier.

that way, they fix "us, ie beta" to something better and then release it to live, so both communities are parallelized, and in sync.

Or they could do nothing - and keep dragging this out so that we get used to this foolishnes

It is really appalling how this horrible GB system is being left in beta while it is being postponed for a second time. What an awful mess.
Yes, it's migrated from the initial pain of learning and seeing this new design because we KNEW what was coming from the change.., but they hadn't technically dug in yet.

We all, to some degree, mentally kicked the can down the road a bit because we were in process of lifting enough GBs still reachable - and then as time passed, and we saw the carnage from the constriction Prestige delivers, it sunk in both conceptually, and for the way forward for everyone. Not a good thing at all.

We did not have the full impact immediately, but we're now where we "kicked the can the first time", and no place else to kick it again.

So while we KNEW what was coming from the design "shock to the system - (hint: kinda like gas prices these days, and that wasn't instantaneous pain, either..., but people are really starting to feel it now with gas near $5.00/gallon US up from $2.80 US before the Middle East issues...), we can C L E A R L Y see irrefutable evidence of a slowdown in all 1.9 and 1.9x lifting activity.

The thing is, with levels being so much more expensive, then you would expect to see a big drop in requests for places to be filled at 1.9 and 2.0 .. and thank goodness, the extinction of the 'fast levelling threads'.
However, setting that aside, is there a drop in activity in all parts of the game? I've got one of the leaders on a live server clucking like mad as loads of players have just gone inactive (some of them leaders)

No? Dump in on your OWN ARC, or OBS or anything BIG in your own city - and go enjoy the day outside with people and fresh air.

This is totally on Inno. If this is what they want, they got it. Bullseye.

1.9 drying up , my GB's for most of em are now over lvl 100 , costs now are to high for me to use speed lvling thread ,interest for game is now down to almost non-existing in my case thx to their stupid beta up-date and fact for once i wanted to be prepared on live for their up-date so i lvled my GB's to lvl 100
realy great job INNO if your goal was to destroy game
 
When Great Building Prestige Update was into effect I posted on the forum why I disapproved it. My main point was that the update kills the need of interaction with guildmates. 2 months passed and I think what I said is proven. I have been playing the game in my own guild without any guildmate since the update. My silver tier Arc (level 140) gives enormous amount of goods allowing me to build camps in GB without hesitation. When I was in a guild I could do 100-120 fights a day. But in my own guild and in golden league I can easily reach 200-250 fights a day and I quit fighting before I reach my high attrition level because it becomes boring. My aim in Quantum Incursion is to earn as much as possible lunar coins. I am making more progress points alone since I can switch between fights and donations. No guildmate means all donations paths are free to complete. The result I make more progress and more lunar coins. I am collecting around 6-7 thousands forge points a day with the help of my Blue Galaxy. This amount is enough for my current activities in the game. I have only one friend to take P1 on my Great Buildings at 1,90. Honestly I don't care other positions are taken or not. Yet they were generally taken by friends or neighbors until now.
Surprisingly I like the new feature since it gives me more freedom in Battleground and QI.

I did the same but before this update. So what you see is real but not linked to this "feature".
