Goods Buildings - resources

Can someone clear something up for me please. In my research as I've progressed through it unlocking buildings, troops, barracks etc, obviously some of the buildings are related to goods / trade available in certain sectors dye, jewellery etc.

Now before I start to build a stone (rock) goods building or an alabaster (marble) goods building or lumber (trees) mill etc

Do I actually need to have sectors under my control that trade (gain from capture) these goods (in particular rocks for stone , trees for lumber and marble for alabaster) or are they quietly mined somewhere within my home province?

I'm asking mainly as so far I've unlocked 2 x dye sectors, the PvP tower, a gemstone sector and am currently working on a "loot" sector and as yet have not seen any of the above in any sector and get the feeling I've been a bit unlucky in getting 2 dye sectors and a jewelry one which will take a fair amount of research to reach especially as I need 6 wine to get to it and have as yet no vineyard (grapes)

I'm getting more and more confuddled!

Cheers

If you haven't unlocked the needed goods sector, you still can produce the good, but the outcome will not be very high.
So a goods building from which you have no acquired goods sector will give you 1 good in 4 hours whereas a goods building from which you have the goods sector acquired will produce 25 goods in 4 hours.

Ah thanks Jules for clearing that one up, guess when I get another expansion for my city I can start making some alabaster, stone and grapes on "buildings" rotation until I get a sector that will allow me to mass produce such goods.

Just a shame the first two I got were both dye.

Thanks

You sure are unlucky! my first 2 things I unlocked was grapes and alabaster.
I knew they were random but didn't know you could have the same thing twice..

Well, that would have been nice to know on before hand :p I have 2 provinces with wood now. So, me thinking you can't produce something without its resource, just build 2 lumber mills since I didn't have any other resources :p

Well, I didn't know it until I built a building I didn't want to and then discovered it.
It should be indicated somewhere.
First of all, Jules nice city you have back there!
Now the mean reason for posting :p
It is indicated ;)

Though It does not say that other goods buildings produce less, it does indicate what building you should build :)

Actually it does say about the 4 hours gets you 1 Alabaster but you have to build the actual building in your city first to see it, it's in the building details but not on the resource as shown above in soulspark's image .....I'll add a screen shot of it once the current 4 hour production cycle is over

But it would be nice to have it somewhere on the building menu to save the confusion over it.

And here's the image

1 more question if some1 can tell me.
i have some resource, and it shows in 4h i can make 25 those resources. so i worked 4 h and got 25 resources.
then i wanted to buy province that costs 8 those resources.... game accepts, starts taking and then says i don't have enough resources and reloads. after it reloads i have 5 of those resources and province isn't bought.

The "boosted" goods production is bugged. You are supposed to make 5, not 25. It shows the wrong number in the production building, and in the Town Hall etc as well, until you relog.

Tnx for answer, i thought it's so :), 25x bigger production was little way to much :)
