Thank you so much for your misplaced criticism qaccy. Fact is, that with 3 days left on this cycle, my guild, which incidentally I started as a "one man band" some years ago and have grow studiously since to be consistently one of the top ten guilds in the realm, is currently over 200K points ahead of the nearest rival in this GBG cycle. As a diamond league guild (started in silver) that is a pretty good achievement and it's not the only time that we have taken such a commanding lead. Additionally, I really can't remember the last time that I failed to complete 64 encounters in GE - certainly more that 1 year ago.I kinda have something against people who express sentiment like this. 'I'll only help my guild if there's something in it for me'. It's sad that the only way to get some players to participate in guild-oriented features is to essentially bribe them to do it. Would you not participate at all if there were no rewards other than the guild benefits? If everyone thought like that, how would guilds level up and provide bonuses to their members?
The point is, that whereas I would usually complete something well into 4 figures in terms of battles, I will now be satisfied with the 70/80 battles per day that attrition allows without siege camps. To push on beyond this requires constant investment in siege camps and very often the need to accelerate building them by spending diamonds. The only reason for me to do this is for personal rewards. Battle points & medals mean nothing to me. As with special events, if I don't like the prizes, I'm not spending the diamonds. Pray tell what is so selfish about that?
