MTG, there are three kinds of people in the world of economics:
• Sellers (which can be you folks)
• Buyers (which can be players that spend)
• Appraisers (those of us who are smart and know the true value of an item)
I fit in the third group as a lot of your stuff offered is way expensive.
In my opinion (and I welcome others to challenge me), the portraits should be about no higher than 100 or even 200 to be offered. This is equivalent to about 2 to 3 USD for just a small pixel that can be shown by the player. It is also the amount for a 25 USD gold pass at a fraction since the rest of the pass is taken up with other things the player can get by progressing in an event.
Also, I find that your "easy to get" QI and GBg buildings are far more expensive than your old event buildings (and sometimes some new event buildings). If I were to sell all my easy to get QI buildings I have in the city for the price you're offering, I can be set to spend those diamonds in a few events without even buying one with money. Easy to get refers to each building (to level 2) requiring 2 kits that can be gathered or bought in the QI store you have already made.
You're looking a bit like that greedy noob I had seen (on a different game that was closed) who was selling the same basic material the NPC behind him was offering for a very high price. To put it into perspective, that noob was selling copper ore at 10,000 (10k) gold and the NPC behind him was selling for 10 gold. A recipe for profit? Guess which one I went to get my copper ore that I need if I am not grinding for it?
The same can be said if someone was offering to sell a Yugo for 50k USD and a dealer is offering a pickup with nearly all the options for the same price. That's where appraising comes in, and chances are, I am going for the pickup since it can haul more than just the compact.
But, I just don't know who would be foolish enough to spend 250 USD just to get an outdated event building as your token prices are 1 for 1 USD and majority of your buildings are within the 200-250 mark. For that kind of money, I would just buy me the 199.99 USD and 49.99 USD diamond packages that would give me around 46,725 diamonds I can probably use in about all the events in the year, if I wanted to spend diamonds, than to spend 250 for a measly building that I would probably park in my inventory after a few months. Again, this is where appraising comes in. It's also where common sense comes in as I won't spend blindly.
We already seen the report for Q3 for FoE. If you wanted Q4 to seriously go into the toilet, keep your pig-headed course as you were going. FoE will be the next game that will be laid to rest like the others before it that had potential to be the best, but were cut short with these gacha tactics. FoE was never a gacha game and it will never be. We build to compete to win; we also play to pass time; we don't gamble. If we wanted that, we would be downloading a casino based game instead.
