Discussion FoE is now A/B testing across regions instead of same ones to avoid complaints

"More specifically, users are presented with different and exclusive choices when it comes to buying diamonds and getting extra event currency. Some can buy more diamonds and more flour (7k) while others get less diamonds and flour (3.5k) but get spoons, both wooden (20x) and golden (5x)."

One screenshot shows the currency in swiss francs and the other is CHF, whatever that is.

So now Inno is A/B testing across regions instead of on the same server to avoid player complaints? I'm afraid that isn't going to work.

A/B testing is completely unfair and should be stopped. Can you even tell us what data you get? Besides who spends on the _good_ offers.

I would certainly rather have 20 wooden spoons and 5 golden spoons than 4k extra flour, and might have bought that if it was offered.

Although unlikely I would buy these packages anyway, +200% diamond offer usually are much better investments, the 20+5 spoon option does seem much better. With 4000 3500 extra flour you can buy the big tool package almost 3 times, giving you quite a lot tools, or you can get ~61x10 extra steps, which might sound a lot, but 20 spoons give 500 (20x25) extra steps and you can easily do more than 110 steps with 5 golden spoons.

well but in redit OP shows 2 diffrent windows. I mean those are 2 tottally diffrent offers in 2 different currency.

Not everyone get always the same offer everywhere....

1 windows - small offers
second windows - those big offers which are on second page of diamond purchase. It is stupid comparison

The spoons are more valuable than the extra flour.

20 wooden spoons is 3600 diamonds and 5 golden spoons is 5400 diamonds according to Ubernerd.

That puts it at 9000 diamonds value. They would have to offer nearly 9,000 flour (instead of 7,000) to equal that.

It's pretty good considering most bonus offers are 3000-5000 diamonds value extra.

"Not everyone gets the same offer everywhere."

Yeah that's exactly the problem and what we are discussing here.

not sure how you come up with a value on golden spoons when you cant even purchase them anywhere except the event sale if you are lucky enough to get them.

What's to discuss? It is a well-known fact that INNO has a variety of offers and that not all players get access to all of them. For example, on many occasions, I've read comments from players describing a 200% diamond bonus offer. I have been playing for 3 years and haven't seen this offer once. I'm not surprised, in the least, that INNO has different offers in different markets. Imo, there's no point in complaining about how INNO markets their offers. It's their game. Players can only choose to buy, or not.

I wouldn't really make the decision based on the diamond value of these but how much steps they offer, how much progress (and/or cup) you can make out of these.

How good are the spoons are kinda hard to tell, because, depending your speed, they do offer multiple Nx25 steps (N probably varies between 2-5), but you obviously don't have the time to think a lot on your moves. I haven't used any golden spoon yet, so no idea about that. If I assume with 1 golden spoon you can do 5 rounds but because of the speed, your efficiency is like 50%, that means 1 golden spoon would be equal to 2.5 wooden spoons, so 5 would equal to 12.5, meaning the 20 wood + 5 gold spoons would give you ~812.5 steps.

To get the same amount of steps, you would nead (812.5/10) * 65 = 5281,25 flour, which is, compared to the 3500 is ~1800.

That puts it at 9000 diamonds value. They would have to offer nearly 9,000 flour (instead of 7,000) to equal that.
So basically instead of giving only 3500 extra instead of the tools, 5500. Our numbers are pretty close actually, with a little bit higher number (e.g. 1 gold = 3 wooden instead of just 2.5), it would be a bit higher instead of lower.

Anyway, TL;DR, yep, 9000 instead of 7000 would make much more sense.

I think that the answer will be standard - there are no changes in A/B tests - it was so, so it will be. And if there are changes, they are minor and are not reported.
Yes, sometimes this position is annoying. But whether you play this game or not is your decision.

Just a lot of crap. Has nothing to do with A/B testing. It has always been like this. You get offers based on your previous spending. That different persons get different offers has been so for years. Same as that you get different offers based on the country you are in and that you pay more on mobile.
