I'm not sure if this is a bug or an intended change in the event, but to upgrade the carriage costs more than the max capacity of the carriage at that time. The same goes for the Banque Hall

You just need to wait for multiple collection to do one upgrade (after a certain point). This is by design as I understand it.

wouldn't it be nice if costs would be lower than carriage

then every level could be done with 1 time travelling
especially at level 250-300
