So they're not doing a page of delta changes? It seems they're late or abandoning posting anything of importance in this forum, right?

If you read the tea leaves a bit...

This change is telling, and makes the event much more compelling to engage people (hook) them to play it...

  • increased
    :fragments:

Fragments of Mass Self Aid Kit from 3 to 20

It took a lot of time for many of us from December 2022, to now to obtain, by slow accumulation, enough fragments to make 15 regular Nutcrackers, or when December 2023 rolled in, 10 Joyful Nutcrackers so that we could have 100% coverage and self sufficiency when it came to making sure our cities had full motivation/polishing each day.
A lot of people didn't see this coming and didn't get on board when those opportunities came into view. So consequently, they currently do not get full coverage of critical buildings each day, because they've run out of self aid kits, and friends - well, friends ang guildmates don't tend to it daily, either.

So this is demonstrating a solution - to move from 3 to 20 in an event reward - speaks volumes.

that is silver level and has 40% chance

gold level has 25 fragments with 40% = 10 on average
3 buildings and you have your daily mass selfaid kit

I'm happy to see they're introducing more ways to get Mass Self Aid

It's not a complete solution if that's the only building you have, but having a mass aid kit on average every 4 days (or 3 days once it's gold level) is pretty good considering it's just one building. The game did need some way for newer players to get Mass Aid without waiting for Winter Event to come round

I personally like the stack of Joyful NC I have, as they are a very well rounded piece delivering (for their size) a pretty good daily dose of FP, and war boost, along with their essential payload and my requirement: MSAK (Mass Self Aid kit) fragments.

So a quick bit of math: 10 Joyful NCs give, per day:

100% chance (= guarantee...) of 30 MSAK fragments (in other words, 1 MSAK/day)

For EACH of the 10 JNCs, Iron age spec when motivated:

7 FP
8% Red Sword
12% Red Shield

Totals for 10 of these babies...

Uses 40 squares of space (10 x 4 each)

Gives:
70 FP
80%
Red Sword
120% Red Shield

In summary:
So while a 30 square building that just moved from 3 MSAK frags to 20, even with a probability of 40%, is helpful - I want and have a guarantee, and I get that in 40 squares of space (and a lot more reward value, too)

This solution has NO EVENT BUILDING BAGGAGE. It's beautifully PURE.

The changes are welcome, with the exception of cups increase which will make the event even more "money hungry". Also I found the rivals very challenging, I don't see why they were made even more difficult.

Still, I think that the Bovine Gala should also provide forge points and more units and the army bonuses for the Majestic Autumn Vineyard are quite low compared to the other buildings from this event.

The advantage of the now-buffed RSH over nutcrackers is mostly that it's also a population source. If you're using any population-suckers as foundational right now, then it's worth asking if RSH outperforms your other population providers - and then that it covers some portion of your MSAK needs besides is just a bonus.

Along that vein, Orchard of Orange Dreams outclasses it as a population provider; but I only picked up 4 of those on my way to a gold league performance on my main server - and for where I'm headed there I'll need more population than that. There's a few other buildings that are *slightly* better population providers, but they don't provide 1% FP boost or nearly as much of a FP collection. I suspect I'll at least use a couple RSH to cover a portion of the gap til something better comes along.

If you do decide to replace your nutcrackers with a few squirrel halls, I'd certainly keep your nutcrackers in storage though, because yes they are the tighter package if you don't want either building for the other stats, but just want the 1 MSAK per collection. Also who knows, we may have upgrades to exuberant nutcrackers this winter :p

Fall Event isn't exactly a great place for the "don't wait til winter" option. Though I guess it might be from a marketing perspective - people who've been desperate for nutcrackers all year might be ready to crack open the wallet for an alternative option when they would've gotten what they needed for free easily enough in a few months.

I'm seriously considering playing on live again after these changes - they're splendid.

Not in favour of increasing the coffee cups, though.

For those interested in building Eco Sanctum cities, a comparison of some main population provider options:

It holds up pretty well as a second-best unlimited option to the orchard for this purpose. Especially considering it has a much more valuable collection than the celtic tavern.

Not in favour of increasing the coffee cups, though.
It was already challenging reach to gain 2 per type of platinum upgrades....Now inno wants more money for their  ...

If someone is interested, here's my progress done during beta

Or--- quantum nutcrackers...
Anyway, a hearty laugh - love this idea. At least I'm expecting many who have remained interested in the Ted/Ketebo making nutcrackers over the last 2 years and not being able to get them as DIRECTLY as the WINTER event that sponsored them, will enjoy continuing on that path with a little more power under their belts within the event this Winter.

PS: Population/Happiness equations for me in IA here, or ANY live world - isn't a problem. So I deploy with ease for the purity I proposed.

Nothing like MAJORLY nerfing the requirement of primary progress currency!! This isn't a minor tweak, it's a 20% increase in required coffee cups to acheive a prize.

When will the lunacy of pulling a major lever *AFTER BETA TESTING* stop?

The minor tweaks to the rewards themselves is like a carrot on the end of a stick. Who here has confidence Inno won't nerf the buildings after the event finishes on live?

Got a major trust issue going on now and it's getting old.

Just for fun, going to play this event. This event prizes comes with percentage chances. That's never going to impress me anytime.

I cannot keep track like today what I collected from this building. Did I get what I want or it gave me the things which I not needed, that's painful everytime.

I will wait for some other event buildings which give better rewards with 100% guarantee on every collection. That's my personal choice.

25 to 30 prize progress I was expecting when they said extra moves value is modified from 75 to 65. I had a strong belief that development team give that much big buff with some nerf for sure. IMO, They are very late to give this information.

I agree this event main reward was bad. They slightly improved it... still bad.

The interesting one are the platinum improvement for the OIl building (if you have one down) and for the Autumn Vineyard. But the change done to GP and rival means getting even one might be impossible/luck based. On beta I wasn't able to finish the second Rival even using 8 quest that gave spoons (without diamonds), because I had some bad luck on the 6* quests.

The most interesting building imo is the Harvest Hub (not the temporary ascendant version) that give a finish all supplies production every 5 days and now also some additional supplies for QI when it start (not an amount that actualy mean anything but if you have 5 down it's 70% of regular intial amount (and this is a permanent building, cost population!)

And I'm not going to comment on the "improved" pumpking or this comment might get deleted for violating some forum rule (probably).

In terms of a recurring placement each year, if this is the only one that gets added then I would agree. It would be better in the middle of the year if we only have two spots in a year.

But it is still better than not having it at all. Waiting another 4 months is quite a long time to expect someone to go without Aid in their city if they are at a point where they need Aid now. I wouldn't be surprised if it was released now due to the new worlds being released 1-2 months ago.
