Donations to GB in hood

When I try to donate to a hoodie I get a message saying I am no longer in friends/guild with the player and I cannot donate anymore.
We cannot donate to players in our hood anymore? When did this change?

this is the message i see each time i try to donate to someone in the hood, and yes, the Gbs are connected

nevermind, it seems i was caught up in the hood change as i hadn't refreshed the game yet. it seems to be working now
