My guild has three players, we can't play every ten hrs. We can only do red or blue not both. Plus we think its a pain to turn our computers on for a few min to do some battles. For my guild QI is perfectly easy. Actually everything is easy for us.

I like QI. It's a relaxed low effort maximum reward feature. Easy to learn, deep depths to master min maxing. Personally I play hybrid casual and fanatic. QI's game loop is mainly city building and mild resource management. Twice per day collecting the resources, upgrading buildings, replenishing the army and using all actions. Then going on with my day for 10h+ and not thinking or worrying about QI. Returning to it at the end of the day and repeating the loop: collecting, upgrading, using actions, etc. While earning amazing rewards.
GbG on the contrary is action packed and more demanding. Variating from light to fiers all hands on deck competition. All in the diamond league. Requiring frequent monitoring, adjusting strategies and keeping tight track of the guild treasure. While giving really good looking and realistic buildings (subjective opinion). Which is relatively worse than QI but imo an more satisfying conclusion of the journey.

In regards of balance. I feel QI's gate keeping with hard and soft caps is good. The game play flow is great and the rewards although phenomenal since it's at most 1 per 2w as f2p player it's fine. The continues increasing difficulty to push continues development + infinite nodes are refined in the current state of QI. The brought offer of various buildings since moving on from Iron Age in QI is great. If they'll regress back to the number of buildings as in Iron Age QI, it would imo be a massive step down from today's height of QI. Overall I feel QI is the best feature of the game and easily the most compatible with work.

lol if i would have wanted to play with low era troops i would start a new city not play a part of game where i need to re-build a low era city every time a new QI starts

Dislike the 3 eras, it is now too confusing and uses way more time that the pervious iron age. I was just start to perfect my strategy for QI, Once the Middle ages came out I stumbled and now only toy with it a few days a week. QI feel like a term paper i need to finish on a deadline every two weeks. It is not relaxing but a constant source of stress. The downside to QI is if I don't show up twice a day by the last few days I can't even play. I don't have enough alloy to make decorations and my army isn't strong enough to fight. QI is a commitment to show up twice a day for 11 days.
The commitment alone is bad enough but then there is the extra time to figure out a new more complex strategy. I hate shuffling up and down thru the 3 eras of builds to try to see what each does. Why are that out of order? Did someone think , hey we'll add some fun complexity by posting the buildings in a weird order? Having to navigate stuff like this isn't fun, I don't feel like I know a secret or have an advantage, it just makes me irritated to deal with. The interface is poorly designed with no regard for the user. I want to see all the building at once, not have to switch thru 3 tiny screens. I want a calculator that shows me what the output of my city will be if I add a 20% building or one with no boost but a higher output. I don't like guessing in a strategy game but it is far too time consuming to manually calculate so I guess and I'm irritated because I guessed.
Battles: The game takes an extreme amount of time, having to manual battle sucks, the way the AI battle computer was changed to be a suicide attack is so unrealistic it took all the fun out of manual battles. Once you don't have enough strength there is no way to hide and snipe the attackers as they are all on a suicide mission for a single troop kill. I watch how the AI computer moves my troops and throw-up every time I see it make as many poor moves as possible. The only thing it could do worse is not try to kill anything. How many people go and kill rogues first? that's what the AI does with my troops, If there are two rogues and 1 other enemy unit, it will hit the rogues first and then have to fight 3 troops. A fight I can easily win with no troop losses turns into losing 1 troop because of the stupidity of the AI autobatle. Inno must be hoping that the amount of time to save one troop is worth less to me than spending some diamonds to get to where I need to be in QI. As a result I feel cheated out of my time or coin by another dirty trick. The sum total of all the game's dirty tricks weighs on me to the point I don't want to play. Why does there need to be tricks to take our money? I'm happy to pay, I'm not happy to be considered a sucker. Why isn't the refresh troops and fast keystroke battles implemented in QI? Why do I have to manually shuffle troops for the next battle and why is that when my QA is nearing the last battle the fights are suddenly easier? Random to Inno means biased toward Inno at every possible place.
(PS: please don't try to tell me that is how statistics works and that I don't know. I've played long enough to know and seen enough of it to just laugh. There is no way to prove it because they is no way to get a large enough sample. Guess who knows that and guess who uses that to their advantage. Dirty Trick +10)
Sadly, I've had to pull back my efforts in my Beta city to have a real life and keep my main city in the game. If the time to play competitively continues to escalate, I'll just have to quit. It is a poor business decision to not work on making interface changes to save players time. Doesn't it make sense that the faster they can play the more they end up spending. Once I have no more time I can NOT spend regardless of how great the rewards are.

Alloy requirement to build goods buildings devalued all my ascended buildings that make QI goods at the start. Sell a benefit over the past year then reduce the reward from the past 15 or 20 events with one simple change. Feels like another dirty trick. I can't even buy alloy if I wanted to. I sure don't understand the rational to this one. Was someone using goods too quick and winning QI rewards building too fast? I'm sure not. The result for me: it is mid week in QI, I haven't been able to build a single goods building, so I haven't spent any shards to rush any goods buildings. Definitely a reduction in Inno revenue from me. Soon, I'll not bother with ascending the goods making main city buildings. If I can't use the goods, what's the point to deal with the headache of trying to keep 50 ascended buildings ascended if they don't provide a useful boost in QI? That is another time waste that many don't consider as part of the time it takes to play QI, try to use the interface to figure out what needs to get ascended, do I have an ascended kit, what benefit it provides and then try to find them in my city. It is another hour a week or more to work out. Why can't I ascend buildings in flat mode? Searching for those little black stars is only a game a 6 year old would enjoy. Are 6 year old's spending much money on FOE? Why doesn't flat mode allow me to ascend buildings and have the ones I'm trying to find flashing? The computer knows I'm trying to find the sled pumps, would it be so hard to allow upgrades in flat mode and have indicators showing where the sled pumps are that I already selected to upgrade? Add a few more irritates to my total please.
