Coplaying ?

Tbh I would prefer it to be strictly forbidden because I will never do coplaying. But I don't think it is illegal, definitely not for this beta.
I think the person who started this topic wants to share with one of his friends who did not receive a beta-key.
For the full version no co-op, for the beta I don't think it's much of an issue, since it is the beta :)

The problem is, if you allow it now, it will take months of getting it out of everyone's system. Anyone remembers how well people read the rules of games ? :p

Yeah that's a good point, if you allow it now some will probably keep on doing it. But if 2 friends share 1 account and both only play on that account well yeah it's up to the rulemakers to decide, I understand both opinions. I honestly think most people prefer to have their own account and don't like to share but I might be wrong :)

If that was so the options for production would range from 15 mins to an hour, not 5 mins to a day.
The game is designed based around a players activity, if you are not here you use longer production times to work for when you are back.

I think coplaying should not be allowed and that anyone with multiple locations should send in some sort of ticket or something and put on a safe-list.

Co-playing, as you call it, carries with it a a whole mess of potential problems, not the least of which are account stealing. It is a tried and true tactic for people to gain your confidence, then steal your account. There's also the issue of people having multiple accounts, by way of co-playing. As such, they can singlehandedly decimate another player by logging onto all the accounts he's co-playing in (and do not doubt there will be people co-playing 10+ accounts just for this very reason).

The list goes on. It is insufficient an analysis to look at it merely on "coverage."

if you co player you and coplayer still only allowed one account togeatehr like in tribalwars where you and co can only have 1 world per account so your reasoning isnt accurate

as for samulis since i play at mutiple locations i should be put on a special regerstry? and what if i decide to go to uni and play one day but dont want to do it often and dont list it.... i get slammed for coplaying when i am not.

If you really want, I could list maybe 10 or more other reasons why co-playing is problematic, poses a lot more work for staff, as well as unnecessary drama. ;)

list them and i was just saying it can be problematic for non rule breaking players and enforcing no co's would be harder then allowing them? look at tribal wars where its allowed try to enforce no co's there.... i stick with my idea that co playing is a players right to choose :p less power to the state more for the people.

My experience as a game moderator from The West tells me that it is almost always quite obvious if more than 1 player is active on the account. Even if you log in on multiple locations, you will still see patterns etc. To avoid most discussions I think by now it should be forbidden.
Don't underestimate the Innogames game tool :p

Many of us here are familiar with the extent of power that ingame mods have ;)

That said, now that I am in, I don't care either way. I think allowing it or not won't change much.

hmm we will see... what comes of it. ai am not coplayed nor do i plan to coplay but i still thinks its a choice people should be allowed. anyway when the west came out i played it for a bit same with greplois... but after a while i am sure i will abandon this for tribalwars again.

To be honest, as long as the "multiplayer" is as limited as it is now, it's not an issue. If they add more player interaction, then it will become something more serious.

To be honest, not coplaying will hardly ruin the game for "coplayers". Most people treat it rather instrumentally rather then emotionally.

You can talk about them, just not specifically say what they can do. And, having never been a mod, I know much more about the modpanel (and the adminpanel) then he reveals.
