Feedback Celebrate with the Anniversary Event 2026!

This event is seriously unbalanced. The eternal market likely be impossible to get if you want the upgraded liquid light. 100 frags each from league and tasks, 2 lots of 350 from minigame but second one is going to be difficult. Only gold league and people very high up in silver will get it. And that only gives 900 frags. To get the last requires 10 network coins from task progress and the the badly balanced world challenge.. We MIGHT see one more world challenge completed and I MIGHT get 3 or 4 from task progress. Yes I can buy a network coin with 80 research coins but I very much doubt I will get enough.

Suggest:
You rebalance the world challenge to a more realistic level
Make network coins cost 40 research coins. Can't be abused because there is not that much in the network shop of interest. (Viaticum still a crap building that will sit in my inventory)

At the end of the event add a five network coin bonus to the league rewards so people may be able to get some of teh things that were unaffordable due toto poor balancing.

Landing the main prize, "Mk I Anomaly Extractor (8)" seems undoable without spending lots of diamonds.
I won't be able to and I'm in the upper bronze league, all this with only one day left of gameplay.
Too specific and random tasks to perform, "Free 5 locked level two Fire pieces", etc ... :(

This event has a big flow: the tactic valid for previous year are completely wrong for this year version.

But even with that the terminology used ensure maximum confusion.
To advance in world challenge we need to complete [world challenge] tasks.
To get progress in the [world challenge] tasks, we need to complete [board] tasks.
If you read the previous 2 sentences without the part in [] it becomes very confusing. But that is what the game does.

Use distinct terms or add qualifiers to make the distinction.
"tasks in the Anniversary Event" is not a good qualifier because it's all part of the Anniversary Event

I did not play it as I quit the beta server in protest of the horrible update to great buildings, I have no interest in further events, this one seem particularly excessively bloated with excessive complexity, I think they are in deep trouble either they are fully monetizing or preparing to sell to shut down this product, it no longer producing profits for the owners, that is bad, and they won't tolerate any of their products to cost them too much money for very long I think,

There ar e a couple of good things about this event but rather more bad....

Pros:
elemental pieces only cost 10 energy instead of 20 like last year

Completed pieces turn into prismatics rather than keys so no frustration trying to balance key spending at end

Because of the prismatics, the board can be cleared much more often, saving energy

Cons
The 100 point cap on research coins. Lot of coins wasted in early days until players get the hang of it. WHY do we even have a cap?

Basic reward unbalance: Too many research coins needed for rewards., items in shop expensive. I spent diamonds for the pack of 820 energy. Made it to 16000 and managed to get the 350 market frags. I won't be able to complete the allies or the eternal market because:

Not enough network coins. World challenge never made it to eight

I did get the level 2 liquid light but only have 6 network coins left. Can't afford eternal frags and spending on allies pointless as I didn't get enough frags from the research coins. Some silver players MIGHT get enough for the eternal market upgrade and maybe one ally but it would require diamond spending to get there. For the majority of players, if they got the L2 liquid palace, they can't afford eternal market or allies.

This event needs to be rebalanced

The board has changed this year:
  1. locked pieces reduced to 29 (previously 32)
  2. Added random component to the mini-game, when completing a key. The clear piece has a random level!
  3. It makes little sense to generate all the pieces we are willing to pay for in a level. In theory we can now clear an entire level by spending just 10 and using a single free piece ("in theory" only)
  4. On average unlocking pieces of an entire board is ~50 progress. The easy task alone gives more progress.
  5. The easy task is "easy", just unlock 17-19 pieces! (40 progress and 1 progress for world challenge)
  6. The medium task can be easy or not. It require unlocking (7-9) pieces of a specific level or color. In many cases it can be completed on a single board Sometimes multiple tasks can be completed on one board (60 progress and 2 progress for world challenge)
  7. The difficult task require 4-6 pieces of a specific level and color. With the new mechanic even if level 4 is required and they are present on the board. In many cases there are not enough pieces on the board to complete it in one board. In some rare cases, especially with just 4 pieces required, it's possible to complete more than one difficult task in one board ~1.5 (80 progress and 4 progress for world challenge).

So, I decided to expend the 7k energy I had stockpiled since giving up on the feature (still got my completion badge, heh heh) to see if there was some other way of doing this since everything about it had changed.

I didn't recollect how many boards I had played, but never once did I click on the reset, because, what's the point. It seems cheaper with each board played to just play it through the end until it resets on its own than to pay each increasing amount for a reset. I didn't get far (and I still had like 2400 energy left until I nearly fell asleep on the computer; boredom, eh?) but got enough to finish the fragment count for the Quantum Chamber and will steer clear from this mechanic in the future as it is too tedious and nonetheless boring now.

Thank you, Inno, for taking something that we all gotten used to and making it a real mess this year. You are truly worthy of your slogan "one step forward, two steps back" for sure.

This was probably my worst event of all time. I only got through the task line, had like 4k energy and just couldn't muster the time to actually play the minigame with fidelity. The only thing I actually bought from the store was boosters, and this was a huge downside because why would you limit these - they're your moneymakers for buying dimes for event currency!! I felt like the in game tasks were difficult to make a lot of progress with the world prices. Like you needed at least one board for the medium to hard tasks.

So time to write final feedback on this event.

Obviously, Inno should be disappointed with the event results & participation rate. Why is that?
There are a few reasons that explained it, some linked to the event, and some linked to Inno not listening/learning.
1> This event is quite time-consuming with its new mechanism, that requires more time to play each board nicely.
But you don't only have to play the board now, Baron Alaric has (temporarily left) but still were here in disguise with tasks, mini game tasks to follow and manage, world tasks as well (with information missing to do it well at start). So even more time.
Plus as tasks are resetting, it's actually even worse in that sense than rival ^^
2> This event is more subject to luck than before! If spawn luck hasn't change, we're having now that random white gem creation. Plus task luck is a big one, especially hard task where you can be lucky or unlucky not only with the task itself (more or less difficult) but also - and mainly - with the board draw as well, as you may not have enough unlocked gem required by the task in 4 boards... or be lucky and do 2 or 3 hard tasks with these.
And finally, luck with world tasks progress completion, as if you were near completion and finish with a hard task, you're loosing a lot of progress (and tasks are reset at midnight so no chance to keep it).
3> In his infinite wisdom, Inno decided to announce GB update only 2 days after start of this event - which was including quite a lot of changes.
And, very strangely, it had the same effect as last summer with GB update + other changes made at the same time: most beta players not having too much time to spend on Beta, they had to choose! And choose mostly to spend less time or depriorizing the event.
4> And lastly, with such a great inspiration that GB update was, quite a few players stopped or played less and therefore let the event just happen without much playing it.
Yes, another great winning combo!

Ok, that being said, what about the event itself?
> I already said it in point 1, a bit too time-consuming.
I won't say mechanism is bad after playing it a bit but 21 days of 4 boards of that seems like a bit heavy.
> Too much luck-based (see point 2), I really don't understand why Inno finds random so much appealing - as they're having random everywhere and increasing it each time.
> Display issue: there's too much thing to look at, and even with all this, some information are missing (like how many world progress give each task and if it's doubled or not with the x2). That makes already playing the board less appealing.
I won't even debate on why Inno's still not giving to everyone the top help tool foehelper is giving to help play their minigame already in an easier way, they showed multiple times QoL is nowhere in their list.
> World challenge issue: too much progress requested, per level but also for an average player (especially as they'll waste progress - they have to manually collect AND they'll lose progress as it restart at 0 even if you scored more that what was missing).
PLUS you just increased with mid-event change the number of world coins needed for a successful event, so you just increased the impact of that issue.
> More minor, but too bad we cannot choose which gem to unlock as, unlike previous event, we now do not see what reward they give.

TLDR: Change of mechanism makes it more time-consuming and more luck-based, which isn't attractive to both type of players: the one that already liked it and the one that didn't like it. On top of that, you're overloading the minigame (both visually and in terms of content) with that task system.

FIVE minutes left until the store closes ..... I just noticed it had one down kits for sale ... just bought four.

I think i only bought four network coins (got one for 50% off one day) ..... so had enough to buy the Palace Of Liquid Light Level 2 .... but seeing as I don't have the World Expo or Airship lower original levels i was struggling for something to spend them on.

A lot of player consensus on the same individual points, and that's good to see that many agree....

I didn't enjoy this event. The board and mini-game changes/complexity was an impediment. I was also NOT as engaged in learning these new changes for the event, because

the game's GB changes were released at the same time, and co-incident with this event. Still unresolved.. those GB changes jumped to the top of my game stack.
