Maybe it's an idea to be able to block players.
Or as a setting menu, receive messages from neighbors yes / no.
The latter appeals to me the most.

Players who find it important to send messages to their neighbors choose "yes" but if you don't want to you can select "no".
Be sure to read the reason for this idea also.

Reason
The reason is that I am now included in a group message (which I do not want) and experience that as annoying.
If I read the comments, I am clearly not the only one, which is why I come up with this idea.
Details
It's not that complex, just a setting menu where players can choose themselves
Balance
I do not understand this one, sorry for that.
Abuse Prevention
In my view, players abuse the possibilities and bother players unnecessarily. The idea actually counteracts this.
Summary
I do not understand this one, sorry for that.
Have you looked to see if this has already been suggested?
Yes I looked and found nothing

I like the idea of "block group messages from neighbors" in the options menu.
To block players specifically, there is the ignore player option
