Auto Select for Negotiations

I feel this button is not a good idea and should be removed. Negotiations should be done by deduction, not just letting the system randomly fill in the spots.

If it does stay then it should be moved elsewhere, maybe the top of the screen, because it is easily hit instead of the pay and negotiate button. I have almost hit this button multiple times when I meant to pay and negotiate.

the button would be good

but the implementation is terrible
6 goods to offer

the button would give things 2 or 3 times the same good in round 1 ?
only an idiot would offer that

a correct implementation would be:
offer 5 different goods (or all available goods at least once if less than 5)

so to be honest that is not an "auto select" that is a stupid "random select"

Casino's are at this point making notes.

Their notes be like:
Must implement something like heal all button, an button that players likely accidentally hit and drain their tokens faster

Button that's making obviously bad bets in behave of the player

Loot boxes with low chances to actually win an nice prize (Halloween event)

But yeah in all seriousness. This button would've been an good improvement. If it would randomly select 5 different options out of the given options until it has to recycle. E.G. coins, supplies, 1 specific good. Slot 1: 33,33% chance on all 3, supplies is chosen. Slot 2, 50% chance coins or specific good. The good is chosen. Slot 3: 100% chance coins will be selected. Slot 4: 33,33% chance on any of the 3 options.
In any case I kinda like and appreciate the attempts to polish the game slightly. Though the execution often fails big time. Yet the best addition that stroke gold this year was for sure the castle system. If anything I feel like if they really wanted to polish something big time, it should've been GbG and fixing GvG. Overhauling the gameplay and GbG buildings' behaviour (SC). Yet they just make an reskin, introduce a few new buildings and calling it a "massive" change. I wished that at least with this feature for negotiations too, that common sense would've been used for the behaviour of the improvement and test driving it. I know this is Beta and it's fine to make errors in changes in Beta but only if they'll be fixed before moving to live.

You can also say , " i feel the autobattle is not a good idea and should be removed. Battles should be done manuel with strategy , not just letting the randomly hitting the enemy"

Beside this it only goes faster but is not smarter then if you do it manualy

An autoselect button for the GEX is completely unnecessary and doesn't help at all. If you do guild expedition by trading you need to be very careful to avoid too many tries in order not to have to use diamonds. With the autoselect button you are likely to need more tries as it is completely devoid of strategy. Please remove that button in a hurry!

This is not true at all. When you do AUTO battle you have to select units to run it in AUTO mode. It could be true if AI would choose units randomly as well. Does it look the same to you?
Here we have only random option to waste our goods.

It's stupid, but works relatively well in level 1 and 2 at the expedition, as long as the player as the taverns boost active.
It is just a crappy way for the developers justify the time spend without doing anything really needed.

I think this is the right spirit for it, but having given it a spin in GBG:
- I've yet to get a successful negotiation from just using it - so unlike autobattle it doesn't seem to be much of a speedup (I would've gotten one on manual before I got one on auto)
- It still takes almost the same amount of effort because you still have to submit and wait between offers

So with the thought of it being "autonegotiate if you have way too many goods" off the table... looking at other ways to use it: it does save clicks in general if you "autoselect" once or twice til you get something close enough to a good offer and then manually correct the 1 that's dumb (you get a new random assortment with each click).

Annoyance: You've manually selected a final offer and on autopilot click the wrong button at the bottom because you're not used to it and your manual selects get taken away. I think "autoselect" should only be allowed to change columns for which you have not yet manually selected an entry.

Having done a handful using the autoselect-then-edit process mentioned in my last post, I do find it a little less tedious than the usual negotiations. But that might just be because it's new. It did not seem to make a significant difference in speed. Just saved me some clicking in exchange for some extra thinking (since usually I do somewhat rote transformations based on the previous result, where after autoselect I have to mentally process what got put where to figure out which edits are needed)

if auto battle would also be 100% randomly and without any logic then you would lose every auto battle like you are losing every auto negotiate (with more than 3 goods because obviously you can't lose a 3 goods negotiate in 3 moves since the games doesn't allow to offer the same good at the same position a 2nd time) if you don't adjust it manually

this new feature is a fine example, that they do not play their own game, which is sad

then they would see, that changing the position of old negotiation button is a bad idea, why was that neccessary, if you implement something new, then place it on a new position, so noone click accidently the new bad implemented feature

I just tried the auto select. To be honest the way the system chooses the goods does not make really sense. But in combination with the FOE Helper and some common sense it does speed the process itself.

So first auto select and then change the goods that does not match the helper and be done with it. Not the baddest idea so far.

Off course the battles are not randomly, i was just paraphrasing puzzlingone,

It's a statement: if you claim that negotiations must be done manually and by deduction, you can also say battles must be done manually.

They have a huge advantage against negotiators
