I just realized that the arc now counts as donations to the guild treasury for quest validation.

You mean you now just realized the Arc counts as donations to treasury
As far as I know its always been the case
The statue of honor works the same way
It is not a bug

actually it is NEW for GB

even the entry in the treasury log is changed:
GB now have only "building production"


maybe it is a bug.
but probably it is an improvement (people suggested that GB count towards quest)

and I have checked live worlds
they also have that changed guild log entry

so it is already part of the game for a little bit longer

Hello wtfGenius,

Thank you for contacting the Forge of Empires Support Team.

Great Buildings such as the Arc and Observatory do not count in quests that require you to donate to the Guild Treasury. Great Buildings behave differently to the Statue of Honor which does count towards these types of quests.
that's the answer for my bug report

this bug report: it says GB count
the support: they say GB do not count

but obviously only one can be correct at the same time

Great Buildings do not count to those quests.
It has been reported and should be fixed soon.
