Feedback Antiques Dealer rebalance

Yes, but I can get around 10k coins per day (in best case scenario). So it would take me 200 days to be able to buy one thing, even if I had infinite junk to sell
You need a lot of high value junk. Which is harder than it was when they first released this update to beta (some abnormally high stuff now sells for less than it did). If you really wanted to focus on it you could get it up to 40-50k a day probably.

BUT, this iteration has been scrapped and is not going live. So best just wait and see what they come up with next before planning around it.

Has anyone participated in auctions in AD? Offers on the shelf yes, but auctions?
An active player has a supply of excellent buildings from QI, events and others. An inactive player probably doesn't even know where AD is :)

Back when it was new yes, before all the power creep, when 2 year old buildings could be of interest.

It had flaws still back then (namely the "come back in 2 hours if you want a chance at a reasonable price"). But it also had uses.

Now:

- the version on live has nothing of interest to anything but a brand new player with space to fill; anything on offer is too outdated for a longtime player
- the version on beta requires extreme attention for minimal payoff - first to raise enough coins (which is possible), and then to find a rare auction of something you want (because there's still a lot of crap that is not worth that kind of effort). Such as (random sample of what's on beta right this moment):

If you do raise 1M+ coins, are you really going to spend it on a kit for a sub-building from a 1 year old event that you could've won dozens of during last winter event, or be mass producing from the 1-year old main building if you wanted. It's far more likely when you check on an auction it'll be of the "not even if I had the coins" variety than the "i wish i had the coins" variety.

Selling high value junk will probably get you that amount. The junk they got going gets anyone about 1k each for 24 hours if they have enough (I got 7 slots unlocked, final one requires castle level 20) in one go. Average junk is about 100-150 per 2 to 24 hour sell. I only use the AD for completing quests that require such. Old AD (currently in live) was so much better because the bid price was reasonable. This version, not so much. It didn't make to live version, so I guess people can be glad on it.

So, basically, if Inno's strategy is collecting merely pennies a day to be played a long time until you get 1 million, then they got it right (in their deluded minds as no sane person is going to save up pennies to wait until they hit 1 million dollars, especially if needs were present that warrant the spending of said pennies).

Just saw, that the old AD seems to be partially back. I dunno if this state is any better than before. Because now we have the trash buildings back, that we are all selling as daily buying options and the auction costs for the trash, that's later released but gets still sold, is still the same? Yeah, definitely not any better. IMO, the only use the AD has, is to sell stuff. There is rarely anything, that could be interesting, most of the times only for aesthetic reasons, not because of the usefulness. The AD needs a serious improvement with its offer, to be interesting, but not with prizes, that make you sell stuff for 698 years to able to afford it.

Well, I did not think it could get worse...bit it did. Before, we could at least buy a few things with gems specifically units, mass supply rushes. Now, the shelves are populated with complete garbage, maybe to match the the garbage prices they have in the bidding section.

Sir, you must be doing something wrong, it only takes me 695 years of selling to afford anything in the bidding area. :)

Yes, so many "game institutions" come blasting out of development, only to rot like over-ripe fruit left on the vine. Castle system, tavern shop, Antiques Dealer, Tavern Merchant (for goods)... they never or rarely get any new substantial energy, or even a "quick pulse" of some simple updating (keeping current) energy.

Remember the Event Hub? ... lol

Not to mention incidents ... which of course, need a click to open, and a 2nd click to remove the reward type dialog box. This is a prime candidate for "quiet adding" to the Inventory log, saving clicks yet again.

OK not just me then. If you click on the Antiques Dealer I find it upsets other buildings near it. Could not get into the Tavern had to Refresh my session. Hope it will be fixed soon.
