Adding new player as friend not showing the player available status active or not. How to identify the player status before adding them as a friend?

In my friend list all the friends daily playing or not mentioned with online status symbol. Some are in active which is in green color and some are in red color so inactive.

I am trying to add new friends who are having green color status symbol. I tried to find that symbol while adding a new friend but do not know how to do it. I tried this in my android mobile on both beta and live app account. Both the places I am in same situation. One thing I understand very clearly is I am doing something wrong to achieve what I wanted.

If you send a friend request out and they accept within 24 hours it's a good sign that they are active. If they don't accept in a reasonable amount of time cancel the request and send another to some one different.

There is no in-game option available to do it.

Instead of checking the status, go to "ranking" player tab and then move to "#1" rank player. From there, 1 to 20 ranked players use the add friend option by touching their names. Next day try, 21 to 40. Just keep the count however you want to make maximum friends.

Some top ranked players doesn't have slots for any new player friend request. So, try until you get your friends slot filled completely.

There is no guarantee that today active and after 7 days inactive. Nothing can be done for it. Biweekly check your friends status for cleanup meaning replacing inactive friends with active friends.

Poor suggestion.

There is nothing to gain for top ranked players by taking noobs in their friend list.

Even newbies can aid, the most wanted behaviour from any friend. Also, OP can sit in one of the tavern chair. Who knows if in future they need more newbie players from below ages after renovation down kit introduced in the game. Game is not always about taking something, it is also known for giving.

I just give a way to touch base with any top rank players who can help improving OP city as a friend if they are willing. Still top-ranked players should accept OP's friend request (same for neighbours and any players). But it is comparatively less overhead instead of going back and forth using ScoreDB from mobile App.

Not any more. Active players rely on mass self-aid kits. Aiding has become obsolete.

Any friend can sit in a tavern chair.

No idea what any down kit has to do with this, cause if it ever will be introduced you use it on your own buildings. If you need something in the future you get it in the future.

Why should they? You have a guild for that.

No they don't. You are not obliged to accept those requests. Nobody is.

That's how you would do it. Smart players would ue a different approach.

You go to ScoreDB and look up the world you play, There you can see of a player has been active or not.
I use ScoreDB for a lot but not for this. IMO, it would be far too clunky. Instead, I would go into the tavern of a current active friend and send friend requests to everyone of their friends that are currently sitting in their tavern. My friend is active which means they clear their tavern - which means anyone sitting in the tavern is active.

That would work if your friend is active. I am on a PC. One tab ScoreDB, the other the ingame ranking. Not too clunky.

Is there any better way?

I will play for few hours only daily. Daily adding and removing friends are annoying me very much.

No in-game option to do it. That's very bad. Like you mentioned, I will try to get the active top rank players in the game. I have so many questions while playing the game. Hope, they will accept my invite and easily help/guide me in the game. Forum login and game login itself a big headache for me.

Thanks for the information.

This is another headache. Small things are not provided inside the game app. To check ten players online status I need to note down their names from app and verify in the given url location. I just wanted to add a new friend who is playing actively. This simple thing I did not expect more effort to be done.
If you are hoping that "Friends" will be a good resource for info on the game I think that you are going to be disappointed. IMO, INNO's use of the word "Friends" is a gross exaggeration. If you are looking for guidance then look no further than your Guild. There you should find a lot of helpful, like-minded, players eager to help you (if not, change Guilds). "Friends" exist to visit you tavern and aid your buildings.

If you want a minimalist approach to adding friends, send friend requests to players in your neighborhood. It can't get any easier than that. The next easiest way is to visit an existing friend's tavern and send friend requests to all of the players sitting in that tavern.

Even for guild joining I cannot find which is the active guild with active members. There are so many guilds and some have lots of demands and some have nothing. If I did not do that demand they are throwing me out of the guild after few days.

My wish to join a guild which does not demand me anything. Finding that also becomes difficult and I cannot swap guild immediately due to some time warning. Having active friends is the easiest and non demanding choice for me. In this also they can accept and remove me later but compared to guild joining this is much simpler.

Neighbourhood also not giving the online status of any player. Blindly adding them is the daily routine. Same player available in my neighborhood for many days and suddenly that player disappear from my neighbours listing. Then after few days or weeks same player again appear in my neighbours listing. Visiting tavern chairs of any active green status friend while trying to add friend it is not showing the player status. Same problem however I try. Just that blindly I should add them and wait.

Constant and peaceful one for me is going with friend zone only. But status information missing everywhere while adding a new friend.

You want to use your Friends as a resource for game information but you won't take the advice from experienced players here on the Forum. I'll give you one more suggestion then wish you good luck. Find the #1 and #2 guilds on your world. Send friend requests to every one of their members until you fill up your friend's list. Before you object to not knowing if these players are active I will say that top guilds don't tolerate inactive players. While they might have one, or two, inactives that are grandfathered in, their members are very active.

Good luck.
