New Idea A possible new mechanic for buildings

How about some particular new buildings would either

a) need fuel to run them. If they run out of fuel theyd become inactive as long theres no fuel being provided. Fuel would be automatically consumed as long a supply exists. These buildings could only be manually deactivated by putting them back into the inventory

or

b) require fuel to enhance their stats slightly. If they run out of fuel their bonus stats are being deactivated as long there is no fuel being provided. Fuel would be automatically consumed as long a supply exists, but these buildings could also be manually deactivated.

Which type of fuel and what amounts?

im thinking primarily of special ressources like orichalcum, mars ore, but basically any type of ressource or several ressources at a time would be consumed by such a building.

Large amounts of Gold and supplies could also be fuel.

Thos would give them a new usefulness
