Mechanic seems to be very similar to forge bowl - but there are three backgrounds for the playing field it seems and also, there is an "endless" icon...

I do hope it's not a summer replacement though. I'm quite fond of the pirate/harbor/caribbean stuff and would like to see more.

Too bad this wasn't something for the PVE/PVR/PVB (take your pick) Arena, else would probably be enticing.

Wildlife wasn't too much of a favorite for me, even though I was good in Bejewled/Bejewled Blitz (never liked Sugar Crush, though). Summer, however, was a better event for me as I know when I can capitalize against my neighbors for the presents and can get a lot of Sunken Treasure for goods manufacturing; the main buildings are meh, but those are good to fit in small spaces as I am planning to get more for my live cities.

I'm going to be so sad if summer event is no more.
Not because of the summer event mini game, don't care about that. But the theme of the rewards was so awesome.

yeah, but on the other hand, there have been quite some buildings of that theme already and maybe they ran out of distinctive building ideas?
Also, a DnD style building (whatever that might end up as) might fill that gap quite well...

Maybe. Though they may also just be looking to swap out the oldest event(s) / event mechanics for something newer every so many years to keep it more interesting.

God's, I hope not! Fortunately, the revealed icons don't look anything like the 10th Anniversary event.

Anything but THAT!

I swear they kept giving me 1's on that 10th anniversary event. Then again, the fall event blows as well when I didn't get enough ingredients or kept getting the wrong ones from the ones I really need to move forward.

As i said before, the most likely scenario is a variation on the forge bowl, based on the resources shown
