My guess is that the Carceres is boosted by one other set piece, and the Spehodone is chain boosted. You can't have a chain connected to two buildings; that would be double dipping.

Well so far it hasnt been possible, unless they changed the dynamics of it so it would work with both ends somehow...

I was assuming that both pieces would be boosted by the little ones in the middle. Maybe they are smaller bonuses than the wagons of the Winter Express

well so far there wasn't a chain design with 2 collectable buildings

but why not giving something to both
with the intention of reducing the Blue Galaxy power

giving 2 FP to one buildings makes a long chain more profitable for the galaxy
if now both buildings get only 1 FP that makes a long chain less profitable
