Dear Kings & Queens,

Get ready to paint the town white! The Winter Event is right around the corner!

Our new Quest Giver Ami needs your help to light up Mistletown for the festive season. Help her out, listen to her stories and have fun unwrapping gifts and winning some magical prizes! You will also come across Isabella, last years Quest Giver!

The Winter Event will start on the 19th of October, and will run until November 21st!

Our Winter Event shuffle board is back again for you to enjoy! To start the festive fun this year, you'll need to gather Stars from event quests and incidents which you can use to unwrap gifts from the shuffle board. Each gift costs 10 Stars to unwrap and will reward you also with a Match Stick. Match Sticks will be useful in lighting up Mistletown and earning you progress towards the Winter Pass! Each Match Stick lights up between 1 and 3 houses. Light up all 20 and Mistletown's Winter Tree will also illuminate and grant you a Grand Prize in the Winter Pass!

Don't forget to claim your rewards in the Winter Pass. But don't worry, all unclaimed prizes will be granted automatically once the event is over.
You also have the option to unlock the second tier of prizes again in this event, which will include our brand new Special Building: Nutcracker Guardhouse.

Hidden among the gifts on the shuffle board is the Daily Special. If you're lucky enough to win the Daily Special, find the "Shuffle" or a "Show 2", you'll also win an Elf for the Elves' Workshop. Each time you win an Elf you will have the opportunity to choose one of two gifts to add to a bonus gift pile which you can then unlock with diamonds. Or if you just can't choose, you can pay the diamond cost to add both of them, or even switch the gift options available to choose from!

That's not all! The Winter Calendar is returning too, offering a new door to unlock every day, each holding a prize. Unlock all doors in the Calendar to win some bonus prizes!

Opening the Calendar doors requires keys of course, and you can win these from the shuffle board by opening Gifts, so make sure to try and win a key every day to unlock the entire Calendar! If you are very lucky and win more than one key on the same day, you will earn a Master Key Part instead, which will allow you to assemble additional Keys to unlock any Calendar days you miss. You can win Master Key Parts also in the Daily Challenges, or purchase them with diamonds.

Please note: If your Daily Key is doubled, you will get a Daily Key and a Master Key Part together with 10 Stars!

And let's not forget the most important part about the Winter: Snow!
After receiving or spending your stars, snow will begin coming down into your town and cover everything in a nice white layer for a while.

Without further ado, the moment you've been waiting for! This year's Grand Prize will be the delicious looking Chocolatery to sweeten up your city all year round! This is a building with 11 levels, and two options for the final level:

Dear Kings and Queens,
Today, we will make a small change to the Grand Prizes. We have removed the Fragments for the Parlor Car and replaced them with all 4 variants of the cars (no fragments)!
Edit: The update for today was delayed, so the change will be applied, once the next update arrives.

Dear Kings and Queens,
Tomorrow, we will make some further balancing changes:

• We have added the Elves' Present to the "Show 2" as well.
• The Calendar will now provide a full Nutcracker Guardhouse, instead of 100 Fragments.
• The 10 Fragments of a Renovation Kit in the Grand Prizes have been changed to a full kit.
• The amount of goods was too high in the Winter Prizes. It has been divided by 5, which is the intended amount.
• We have made changes to the Daily Specials, removing most of the Fragments and the 100 Medals and replaced them with (mostly) better rewards.

Dear Kings and Queens,
The Event is almost over, however we are still making some balancing changes. Most of them were changed, so you got more rewards, however we noticed some issues during the beta phase and also need to address them before the live release. Starting tomorrow, the Winter Event will receive the following changes:

• The 2 Upgrade Kits for the Chocolatery (later on in the Grand Prizes) have been reduced to 1 each. We have also added more of them at the end, so you still receive enough Upgrade Kits in relation to Level 1 buildings. This means, that you need to spend more stars to get the Kits.
  • Please note, that uncollected Grand Prizes will be exchanged, meaning if you have a 2x Chocolatery Upgrade Kit still uncollected, it will be exchanged to a 1x Chocolatery Upgrade Kit. Already claimed prizes are not affected, however it will update the prize visually in the Grand Prizes window.
• We have exchanged the first Grand Prize for a Winter Train Selection Kit and moved the Cars around a bit.
• We have added 2 Master Key Parts to half of the reward pools from the Elves' Gifts.

Dear Kings and Queens,
We want to inform you about the changes done after the Event ended here on Beta.
There is only one change and that is, that the Winter Prizes will not be available for Diamonds anymore, but can instead be bought in the Shop. It will also be like that for the following Events. The reason for that is, that based on data we have received during the Halloween Event, we found out, that buying the Prizes in the Shop was more popular, than unlocking it for diamonds. We have therefore made this change.
Other than that, there are no further changes, thank you all for providing your feedback! We could make many tweaks to the Event during testing and hope you will enjoy the Event on live.
